Historia Obscura: The Philippines in 16th and 17th Century Portuguese Sources Volume 1

These books are the product of a collaboration between the NHCP and the Department of Foreign Affairs, through the Philippine Embassy in Lisbon, Portugal, together with the Centre for the Humanities at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (CHAM), whose team of historians carefully selected and translated the documents. The volumes offer a rare and valuable perspective on how the Philippines was observed and understood by the Portuguese during these formative centuries, making them both insightful and compelling to read.
